Frisson features classical music’s best and brightest stars and is one of the most popular chamber music groups in America, showcasing emerging young artists as well as seasoned professionals. Members performed at the Marlboro, Verbier, Spoleto, and Mostly Mozart festivals as well as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Several were chosen for Carnegie Hall’s prestigious Ensemble Connect program and many have gone on to principal positions in the Cleveland Orchestra and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Frisson has been called “the classical group that does it all”, with engaging programs for winds, piano trio and piano quartet, octets, and nonets, as well as music by Gershwin, Cole Porter and John Williams.
