Barbara B Mann is Southwest Florida’s premier entertainment venue. The Operations department is interested in hiring customer-service oriented individuals for numerous part time, seasonal positions.  All applicants must be available for weeknights, day and evening weekends (including Sundays), holidays, and occasional daytime weekday shifts.

Events Assistant (HIRING!): Seasonal/Hourly Position

The Events Team member is required to work daytime, evenings, holidays, and weekends both backstage and front of house as the show schedule dictates.

Events Assistant is responsible for:

*Assisting with hiring, training, and staff management of the Operations & Concessions personnel.

*Managing inventory using the FIFO system, completing monthly inventory reports, and tracking daily movement of inventory items.

*Working with preferred caterers and individuals hosting private events.

*Maintain cleanliness and Health Department standards in the venue and ensure liquor compliance.

* Assisting the Operations Manager with troubleshooting equipment and operational issues.

Events Assistant must:

  • 18 years or older and available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as the show schedule requires.
  • Have knowledge of food safety and liquor control. Current ServSafe certificate required.
  • Knowledge of inventory control management required.
  • At least 2 years related experience in a management position with related customer service preferred.

Daytime Operations Staff (NOT CURRENTY HIRING):  9:30AM - 3:30PM Monday through Friday.

The Daytime Operations staff stocks supplies in the stands, assists with putting away deliveries, does daily baking, and helps with laundry. Applicants must be 18 years or older, must have reliable transportation and must be able to work late evenings.

 

Events & Operations Staff (NOT CURRENTY HIRING):  Work in this entry level position includes set up and break down of equipment for receptions, merchandise, and crew dining. Other duties include food preparation pre-show and assisting with custodial duties after events. Must commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week during Broadway & Variety Weeks. Applicants must be 17 years or older, must have reliable transportation and must be able to work late evenings.

 

Ticket Scanning Staff (NOT CURRENTY HIRING): Work at all entrances, greeting patrons and scanning show tickets pre-show. For shows with intermission, scanners stay and monitor the exit doors. Ticket scanning staff must be able to work at a rapid pace, and quickly solve scanner error codes. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and must commit to 3 shifts per week for both Broadway and Variety weeks.

 

Backstage Security Guard (NOT CURRENTY HIRING): Backstage Security guards work at the backstage security desk and monitor the backstage area, the in-house staff and touring show personnel. Guards must hold a current Class D (un-armed) security license and must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes day, night, weekend and holiday shifts. Guards must have exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

 

Concessions Staff (NOT CURRENTY HIRING):  Work in the Concessions stand selling food items, and non-alcoholic beverages.  Additional duties include stand cleaning and restocking. Must commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week for Broadway & Variety weeks. Applicants must be 18 years or older and must be able to manage credit card sales and reconcile a financial statement at the end of each shift.

 

Bartender (NOT CURRENTY HIRING): Work in the Lobby bars selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.  Additional duties include stand cleaning and restocking.   Must commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week for Broadway & Variety weeks. Applicants must be 18 years or older, have at least 2 years active bartender experience, and must be able to manage credit card sales and reconcile a financial statement at the end of each shift.

 

VIP Host/Hostess (NOT CURRENTY HIRING): Work in the President’s Club, engaging with the members, and setting up snacks, and post show cleanup. Hostesses must commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week for both Broadway and Variety weeks.
